And my father too, was a postman and wore those sweaters--I never connected that with Mr. Rogers until this blog.

The other connection I do have was with my Oncologist after being diagnosed with breast cancer 22 yrs. ago. My primary Dr. nurse (his wife) told us that we would either love Dr. N or he would drive us crazy, so we were discussing what type of Dr. would CHOOSE to be an Oncologist--dealing with seriously ill patients and losing some of them. Turned out he had a Mr. Rogers type personality--soft spoken & usually. Egan by saying, "And how's our morning going?" We found it funny, while comforting at the same time. We LOVED him!
Vicki
PS Thanks for sharing your fond memories about how Mr. Rogers cheered you up when you were really. Ending it and the wonderful memories of your dad. Sounds like we were both blessed with a fun & loving dad! The most common comment at Dad's Memorial (several yrs ago) was that he always had a big smile. Again, 'Thanks for the memories!'Jon and Vicki Marneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03490578546719296693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6887010026506190141.post-14145810112110713382017-01-30T03:49:13.147-08:002017-01-30T03:49:13.147-08:00Karen, I met Mr. Rogers once too. What a beautiful tribute to him and your father. Xo JoanneJoanne Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03314823094928933752noreply@blogger.com
